What are the responsibilities and job description for the Admissions Assistant position at SOUTH OAKS HOSPITAL?
Shift: Monday-Friday 4:00PM-12:00AM, Rotating Weekends and Holidays
· High School Diploma or equivalent required.
· 1-3 years of relevant experience, required.
1. Facilitates patient's entry by monitoring and tracking required information and admissions criteria, including physician prescriptions, managed care documents, and financial clearance.
2. Maintains outpatient rehabilitation master schedule and "waiting list".
3. Monitors occupancy rate and fills all schedule vacancies, as needed.
4. Assists with Patient Financial Services personnel to ensure timely and appropriate financial clearance for prospective new admissions.
5. Tracks and monitors patient attendance.
6. Coordinates and directs externally referred patients based on patient’s needs.
7. Provides written and verbal information to prospective patients.
8. Collects and organizes referral and admission data.
9. Troubleshoots intake admissions process to resolve issues and resolve process.
