Responsibilities:
- Greet and check-in patients, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience
- Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries in a professional and courteous manner
- Verify patient insurance information and collect co-pays or payments
- Maintain patient records and update necessary information in electronic medical record systems
-Medical super-bill posting and coding
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents
- Coordinate referrals from other healthcare providers as needed
- Follow office policies and procedures to ensure smooth operations
Experience:
- Previous experience working in a medical or dental office setting is preferred
- Familiarity with ophthalmology terminology, procedures, and insurance is a plus
