What are the responsibilities and job description for the Digital Literacy Data Coordinator (Part-Time) position at South Piedmont Community College (SPCC)?
The Digital Literacy Data Coordinator is a part-time (10 hours per week), grant-funded position located primarily at the OCH Main Campus in Monroe, NC. This position reports to the Director of Data Analytics and Reporting within the Strategic Excellence Division and supports the Digital Literacy Director.
The Digital Literacy Data Coordinator will retrieve, analyze, and report on data for the Digital Champion Grant, which aims to mitigate digital barriers for students. This position supports a broad data-driven approach to understanding digital needs and implementing intentional and comprehensive solutions for increasing digital access and knowledge.
Essential Duties Summary
- Collaborate with both internal teams and external partners to evaluate technology and broadband access needs and provide support to overcome any identified barriers.
- Monitor placement and student follow-up data for retention purposes.
- Retrieve data from a variety of sources; analyze and report on data to inform marketing efforts, digital literacy, and support services.
- Maintain and report on grant outcomes.
- Conduct research and surveys to determine current effectiveness and future needs.
- Coordinate and participate in short and long-range planning.
- Research and assist in the development, sequencing, implementation, and evaluation of curricula and educational materials related to the Digital Literacy program.
- Assist in planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating department programs/courses and the goals and objectives as they related to South Piedmont’s Strategic Plan.
- Maintain strict confidentiality in all sensitive matters.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Data Analytics and Reporting or Digital Literacy Director.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree, OR associate degree with two years of data experience, OR high school diploma (or equivalent) with four years of data experience.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Word, Excel, and other basic software.
- Attention to detail.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent planning and organizational skills to meet established deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and manage time well.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to leverage technology to compile information from multiple sources.
