This full-time position requires a broad range of general knowledge in the maintenance of residential properties. This includes grounds maintenance, snow removal, carpentry and repairs. Duties include but are not limited to minor plumbing tasks, painting, repairing drywall, patching cracked concrete and general carpentry repairs.
Flexible Schedule - Monday through Friday 7:30am to 4:00pm with on call for once every 7-9 weeks. Multiple work locations.
Starting Pay $24.00 -$26.00 per hour based on experience
Requirements:Skills:
- Ability to work independently and organize daily assignments.
- Able to establish positive working relationships with staff and residents.
- Ability to organize tasks, follow directions and meet deadlines.
- Respond appropriately and quickly in an emergency situation.
Requirements:
- A minimum of one year of maintenance or experience working in one or more trades.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, walking, bending and climb stairs.
- Valid Maine Driver’s license and insurability on our company's auto insurance.
- Live within 30 minutes of South Portland Housing Authority.
