This posting is for a long-term substitute teaching position for a high school band director at South Portland High School. This position involves teaching symphonic band, music history and theory, and AP music theory. A successful LTS should :
- Create and implement a music curriculum that's engaging and meets the needs of all students.
- Lead classes and rehearsals for performances.
- Assess student progress and adapt instruction to meet individual needs.
- Organize and maintain records for student attendance, achievement, and activities.
- Promote a safe and supportive classroom environment.
Preference is given to those who currently hold or are eligible for Maine Music 614 (K-12) certification.
The position will start on 4 / 4 / 25 and run for the remainder of the school year.
