Reporting to the Business Systems Analyst Manager, the Business Systems Analyst II is responsible for working with business units to examine and support new and existing applications and processes, report common issues, evaluate system performance, and recommend new systems and procedures. Collaborates with team members, key business contacts, and information technology partners to determine the best approach for utilizing technology in various business units. With minimal supervision, this position must be able to provide escalated systems support, guide junior analysts, assist and / or lead low-med complex systems. Evaluate and implement potential solutions and document results.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
General
- Administers applications, including design, application configuration, and user management.
- Serves as primary liaison between business units, vendors, and the technology team working closely with the application / vendor owner.
- Leads and collaborates with application / vendor owner to manage vendor relationships from a technology support and coordination standpoint.
- Reviews and manages vendor communications on enhancements, upgrades, changes, and system outages for systems that they manage.
- Responsible for opening change tickets for system updates with the vendor and following the internal Change Control Process.
- Collaborates with business units and project team for creating, executing, and validating user acceptance test (UAT) scripts for application changes, upgrades, and newly implemented systems.
- Proactively works with business units to identify potential efficiency and automation opportunities within the applications they manage.
- Collaborates with business units to document process and workflow diagrams.
- Proactively works with the project management team to assist in defining business requirements. Also, provides the Project Manager with any additional task they feel needs to be added to the project plan.
- Assists business units in creating and updating standard operating procedures and ensures that the IT Team is informed and versed in system support.
- Partners with vendors to support business unit to address questions and resolve issues associated with applications that are currently in use or newly implemented.
- Provides escalated support for business unit applications.
- Resolves application support tickets within the SLA timelines. Ensuring that KPIs are met.
- Reviews issues with business unit(s). Uses root cause analysis to identify the issue and when escalation to the vendor is needed.
- Provides application support ticket reports, such as updates, status, and resolution information, to business units.
- Participates in application user groups for applications that they manage.
- Participates in business continuity exercises ensuring recovery time objectives (RTOs) and recovery point objectives (RPOs) are met.
- Adhering to the Bank's privacy and data security policies including but not limited to safeguarding of sensitive information and complying with relevant regulations to protect non-public information.
- May be required to be available off-hours to minimize business impact of system upgrades, implementations, and tier 1 system issues. This may include system outages, business continuity, and other critical business issues and interruptions.

EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE
LANGUAGE SKILLS
