- Greet customers at the cashier window in a professional manner.
- Compute customer bills accurately and efficiently.
- Receive cash, checks, and credit card payments from customers, recording the amount received.
- Operate the cash register with precision and attention to detail.
- Reconcile the cash drawer daily to ensure accuracy and prevent discrepancies.
- Schedule service appointments promptly and effectively.
- Refer customers who have questions about the work performed, additional maintenance, or repairs to the service advisor or other appropriate individual.
- Handle customer complaints with integrity and poise, referring dissatisfied customers to the appropriate individuals for resolution when necessary.
- Maintain and file repair orders and parts invoices accurately and efficiently.
- Closely all open invoices to ensure timely payment.
- Provide clerical and secretarial assistance to the service department as needed.
- Maintain a professional appearance at all times.
- Keep the work area neat and clean.
