Summary:
Under the direction of the Director of Rooms; the Night Auditor is responsible for overseeing hotel operations during the night shift. This role combines both financial and front desk duties, ensuring smooth operations overnight. This list is not a comprehensive listing of all responsibilities. Key Responsibilities:
- Audit, balance and reconcile daily transactions (including room charges, cash payments, and credit card transactions).
- Perform check-ins and check-outs for late-night arrivals and early-morning departures
- Address guest inquiries, complaints, and requests, ensuring a high level of customer service.
- Ensure the safety of the hotel, conducting routine checks and monitoring security systems.
- Prepare the front desk and common areas for the morning shift.
- Handle cash floats, ensuring accurate record-keeping and security.
Work Environment:
This job operates in professional office mostly at the front desk which involves mostly standing and short walks. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopies, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Guest Service Hotel Front Desk Experience Preferred
- Opera Experience Preferred
- Preferred hotel industry experience
