Who We Are:  South Shore Psychological Services, Inc.  is a small psychology practice focused on providing support to children and families on the South Shore.   We are currently expanding our team of therapists who provide in-home and community-based behavioral intervention to young children with autism spectrum disorders ages 18 months to 5 years of age.  We are currently seeking to add a part-time Board Certified Behavior Analyst to our team.  Our practice provides intervention using the Early Start Denver Model, which is an evidenced-based naturalistic developmental behavioral intervention which blends components of ABA, PRT and relationship-oriented techniques during play-based intervention. Dr. Jennifer Epstein is a licensed clinical psychologist who is also a Certified ESDM Trainer.   The ESDM provides structured curriculum and teaching techniques to deliver an individualized, structured intervention program to young toddlers.  ESDM is data driven and effective.   Our office is located in Hingham, MA where we provide services to Hingham, Hull, Cohasset, Scituate, Norwell, Pembroke, Weymouth, Quincy and neighboring areas.


What we are looking for: We are looking for a part-time BCBA who has an interest in collaborating with other team members to create effective programming to support young toddlers and preschoolers with autism and their families.  The right individual for this position will have interest in learning more about the ESDM and Naturalistic Developmental Behavioral Interventions.   The applicant should have experience providing applied behavior analysis programming to young children ages 18 months to 5 years of age in home, daycare and other community settings.

Job Responsibilities:

The Licensed Behavior Analyst (Board Certified Behavior Analyst) will provide support to individuals and their families by coordinating and providing services in Applied Behavior Analysis, function analysis and assessment, behavior acquisition and reduction procedures and adaptive life skills utilizing the framework of the Early Start Denver model (ESDM). The BCBA will provide supervision and ongoing support and supervision to registered behavior technicians as relates to the implementation and documentation associated with ESDM intervention programs.  The BCBA will provide oversight and guidance in data collection, graphing, and writing reports necessary to fulfill insurance billing and reporting requirements. 

  • Function in a supervisory capacity and provide oversight to all areas of programming including the training of behavior technicians
  • Assist in the development and implementation of assessment tools, conduct functional assessments and analyses when appropriate, and develop appropriate behavior strategies to teach appropriate behavior and reduce maladaptive behaviors.
  • Participate in training and supervision of paraprofessional staff in implementation of ESDM and ABA principles and methodology and behavior reduction strategies.
  • Create ongoing data collection system to establish baseline and programmatic efficacy for clients and analyze data on a frequent and ongoing basis to guide programming.
  • Develop behavior plans/treatment plans for assigned clients utilizing ESDM methodology for teaching antecedent strategies necessary for reducing problematic behavior(s).
  • Utilize electronic medical record system and electronic graphing systems.
  • Collaborate with treatment team including client, parents/ caregivers, outside professionals, and co-workers.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with clients, co-workers, supervisors, and community members. 
  • Adhere to all laws regarding privacy and confidentiality, including HIPAA.  
  • Commitment to ongoing training and development as it relates to clinical skills, professional development, ethics, and technology, and training in order to perform job responsibilities to required standard. 


Basic and Physical Requirements: 

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, occasionally
  • Must be able to assume and maintain a variety of postures (kneeling, squatting, crawling, sitting, standing) for extended periods of time. 
  • Must be able to perform specific computer and electronic device functions for data collection.


Requirements:

·       Licensed Behavior Analyst in MA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst)

·       Must have reliable transportation 

·       Willingness to learn new therapeutic skills

·       A love of teaching and learning new things 

·       Must pass a CORI check

·       Must be up to date with vaccinations including COVID (completed full vaccination series)


Salary and Position Type
