What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clinical Teams Assistant position at South Shore Staffing?
To assist Clinical Manager and support the clinical staff to improve communication and ensure quality patient care. Acts as the key link between field staff clinicians and clinical manager.
Essential Functions :
Assures daily scheduling is done on a timely basis (daytime, evening, weekends and holidays)
Schedules holiday and weekend rotation, vacation schedule and on-call beeper rotation with oversight of Clinical Managers.
Monitor intake (white) board throughout day for next day SOC / ROC.
Assign correct IDT to each new patient, then update IDT as needed during patient's admission, including changing case manager, updating demographics as needed.
Projects daily staffing needs.
Ensures appropriate assignment of new SOC and ROC in consultation with managers.
Coordinates staff's daily workload, assuring continuity of care. Adjust schedules to meet expected productivity.
Provides clerical support to clinical managers and clinical staff (i.e., meeting minutes, letters, flyers, faxing, etc).
Triages telephone calls from patients, families, staff, etc., takes messages and communicate messages to the appropriate personnel in a timely manner.
Assures service satisfaction through appropriate communication with staff, patients and Intake Department.
Communicates with per diem and contract staff to update availability.
Projects monthly work schedules for nurses and updates scheduling screen with oversight of Clinical Managers.
Follow-up on patient hospitalizations. Contact various hospitals to obtain admission status, date and diagnosis. Update patient record and relay information back to Clinical management team.
Complete initial chart review for accuracy day after admission.
Non-Essential Functions :
Assures Agency compliance with all federal and state laws as well as adherence to the corporate compliance policy in the prevention of fraud and abuse on behalf of the agency
Performs other essential duties as assigned.
Skills and Abilities :
- Able to read and write English.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Excellent computer and keyboarding skills required

- Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines and meet the agency's attendance requirements.
