What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounting Clerk position at SOUTH SIDE MISSION?
Position Description: This position is responsible for all recording and posting activities for accounts receivable/payable. Position includes reconciling all internal accounts, records and bank statements. The incumbent also maintains all appropriate records and documentation for history and auditing purposes including the following:
Maintain all donor and solicitation records
Provide acknowledgement letters for all categories of donations
Reconcile all donor records
Maintain bank records
Reconcile bank statements
Maintain Thrift Store financial records
Process credit card charges
Reconciling petty cash accounts
Reconciling restricted accounts
Maintain all records related to purchases
Properly categorize purchases according to class & account
Maintain accounts payable files and records
Pay invoices in a timely manner
Create/provide various financial/donor/marketing reports as needed
Utilize Quickbooks, Excel, Word and Talisma (donor database) to complete daily work and reports
Provide all assigned necessary materials for annual audit
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.19 per hour
