We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Swim Instructor to join our team at a premier aquatics. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for teaching and a strong background in aquatics. A background in year round competitive swimming is highly desirable, but not required. As a Swim Instructor, you will play a vital role in educating individuals of all ages on swimming techniques, safety, and water confidence. Your expertise will help foster a love for swimming while ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment for all participants.
Responsibilities
- Conduct swim lessons for various age groups and skill levels, focusing on technique, safety, and enjoyment.
- Develop individualized lesson plans that cater to the specific needs of each student.
- Implement effective behavior management strategies to maintain a positive learning atmosphere.
- Educate students on water safety rules and best practices to ensure their well-being in aquatic environments.
- Collaborate with other instructors and staff to promote swim programs and events within the health club.
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to encourage improvement.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pool area, ensuring all equipment is safe and functional.
- Engage with parents or guardians to discuss their child’s progress and address any concerns.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a swim instructor or in a related role is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of swimming techniques and water safety practices.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate effectively.
- Ability to manage behavior in a group setting while fostering an encouraging environment.
- Certification in CPR, First Aid, or Lifeguarding is highly desirable.
- A background in year round competitive swimming is highly desirable
- Must be comfortable working in an aquatic environment and have the ability to swim proficiently.

Pay: $20.00 - $55.00 per hour
