- Support Diverse Students: Assist students from various cultural, linguistic, and socio-economic backgrounds in adapting to the summer program. Offer personalized support and resources to help them feel comfortable and successful in the learning environment.
- Cultural Awareness: Promote cultural understanding by incorporating diverse cultural perspectives into program activities and curriculum. Plan activities and discussions that celebrate different cultures and foster respect for diversity.
- Bridge Communication: Act as a liaison between students, families, and staff. Help translate or interpret (as needed) to ensure smooth communication and understanding between all parties, especially for non-English-speaking families.
- Provide Guidance to Staff: Offer training or guidance to staff members on cultural sensitivity, inclusivity, and strategies for working with diverse students. Share insights into students' unique cultural or language needs and how to best support them.

- Education and Experience: A background in cultural studies, education, social work, or a related field is preferred. Experience working with diverse or multilingual communities is highly desirable.
- Language Skills: Fluency in English and proficiency in a second language (e.g., Spanish, Mandarin, Arabic, etc.) is preferred, depending on the demographics of the student population.
- Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with students, families, and staff from diverse backgrounds.
