SUMMARY/OBJECTIVES
The Application Administrator III has primary responsibility to provide support for SouthState Bank’s business
complex applications outside of the core banking application portfolio and ancillaries. This position requires
collaboration between IT and the business as new technology is introduced and supported; and will apply proven
communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help the business make good technology decisions. This
includes serving as a technical resource and SME (Subject Matter Expert) during the discovery, testing, change
management, and post-implementation support phases of projects.
The Application Administrator III will also be responsible for mentoring the Application Analyst I and Application Analyst II positions. They will be responsible
for new BAU requests, demands, enhancements, to assist with software releases, minor and major incidents,
change management, process improvement opportunities, long-term projects, as well as other duties to support the Applications Team.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Acts as a Team Lead and SME for SouthState application portfolio to include moderate and complex
- Administer, configure, and maintain multiple complex enterprise-level applications to ensure optimal
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues, ensuring timely resolution to minimize downtime
- Perform system analysis on configuration and functional specifications to design and develop solutions to
- Perform design, configurations, documentation and testing to end user requirements, along with
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, implement changes, and support
- Work collaboratively with IT Governance regarding routine audits and security assessments to ensure
- Plan and conduct thorough testing of applications to ensure functionality, performance, and security.
- Oversee the deployment of applications, software updates/upgrades, patches, and enhancements in
- Ensure software releases and application configuration changes are tested, qualified, documented and

- Maintain comprehensive documentation of complex applications, including technical specifications, user manuals, and system changes.

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field preferred.
- Experience: 6 years’ experience working with IT Applications and Support, preferably in a production environment. Banking experience preferred.
- Certifications/Specific Knowledge: Intermediate and Advanced certification preferred (e.g. Microsoft Windows Server Hybrid Administration, CompTIA Security , Server , Data ). Experience with MS Suite of Applications including Advanced Visio Drawing ability. Prior experience with support request systems preferred (ex. Service Now).
