Merchandise Assistant

Part Time $17.05 - 21.70 per hour

South Suburban Parks and Recreation is seeking a Merchandise Assistant to work in our golf shop. We are currently looking for the following hours of operation: mornings, afternoons.

Our Ideal Candidate

• Required to have exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Has knowledge of pricing soft goods; apparel, shoes, accessories, headwear, etc.
• Has knowledge of retail sales, receiving merchandise and marketing.
• Will be highly motivated and has the ability to create a welcoming and exciting atmosphere.
• Occasional distribution of merchandise to three separate locations, including transferring within the computer software system.
• Physical inventory count on a quarterly basis.
• Has knowledge of modern office procedures, methods and general office equipment (computer, copier, fax, telephone, calculator, hand held radio etc.).
• Is proficient with applicable computer software applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to provide outstanding customer service and maintain working relationships with employees and the public.
  
  

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be at least seventeen (17) years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Two (2) years of experience merchandising is beneficial but not required.
• Experience in creative visual displays with mannequins is beneficial but not required
