JOB TITLE: Accounting Clerk
FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt
MANAGER: Chief Executive Officer
DESCRIPTION
The accounting clerk will perform clerical, bookkeeping and, as needed, provide payroll support, and prepare accounting statements for the clinic. Will also be responsible for verifying and submitting monthly, quarterly and annual reports.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Utilize Modernizing Medicine billing system.
- Payroll taxes are auto processed through EFTPS. Email confirmation will need to be filed.
- Ensure SUTA and FUTA payments are made when necessary.
- Receive and verify expense reports and reconcile with account balances and other office records.
- Track owner allocations each quarter.
- Generate provider bonus reports quarterly.
- Generate monthly bonus reports for Cosmetic providers and staff sales
- Reconcile clinic credit card account monthly.
- Make weekly bank deposits.
- Assist with quarterly equity split for owners.
- Facilitate vendor payments by reviewing purchase orders, resolving discrepancies, etc.
- Create reports documenting clinic profits and losses and communicate as needed.
- Create reports for Expenses and communicate to necessary members of the clinic.
- Maintain a current record of all clinic equipment and inventory numbers.
- Verify and pay Texas sales tax.
- Submit uncashed checks to state comptroller annually.
- Assist with processing as needed through QuickBooks Online in a timely manner, following legal standards.
- Manage Office supplies and place orders when needed.
- Retrieve and distribute to recipients as needed.
- Batch and Deposit Checks (from mail).
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Accounting degree or relevant experience preferred.
- Knowledge of computers and relevant software applications.
REQUIREMENTS
- Thorough understanding of bookkeeping practices and procedures.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite or similar software.
- Knowledge of spreadsheets and accounting software (QuickBooks preferred).
- Ability to maintain confidential and meticulous records.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Prolonged periods of being stationary at a desk and working at a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.
- Ability to manipulate small tools and office equipment.
- Clarity of vison at varying distances.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $22.00 per hour - dependent on experience
