Middle School Targeted Services Summer School Site Coordinator (2 Positions)
POSITION SUMMARY:
Provide oversight for all aspects of middle school Targeted Services programming at Cottage Grove Middle School. The position requires leadership, communication, collaboration, organization, and flexibility. Program dates and times are July 7 - July 31, Monday - Thursday, 9:00am - 1:00pm. The daily schedule for this position is 8:30am - 1:30pm. Summer School planning and teacher professional development will occur on June 24 or June 26.
PROGRAM OVERVIEW:
Each day students will participate in a morning check and connect session, lunch, and three structured class periods: math, ELA, and an elective. Check and connect, ELA, and elective content will be planned around a common theme. Teachers will lead check and connect sessions, teach one content area, and have the option of a duty-free lunch break. Teachers will be assigned to a team, either sixth grade or a seventh/eighth grade combination. The staffing ratio will be 20:1.
Every student will have access to a mobile device.
Compensation:
Salary schedule based on Teacher contract, $32/hour.

PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Coordinate communication with teachers, paraprofessionals, custodians, nurses, nutrition services staff, and transportation staff.
- Collaborate with the extended learning coordinator and other Targeted Services site coordinators.
- Manage sight set-up and closing.
- Monitor student attendance and the completion of Continual Learning Plan (CLP) forms.
- Organize and monitor supervision plans for safe and orderly meal times, arrival, and dismissal.
- Communicate information about schedules and special events to staff.
- Establish a plan for teachers/staff who will be absent and ensure substitute coverage.
- Serve as the first point of contact for building and parent communication.
- Assume a lead role during onsite emergencies and building/student issues.
- Distribute, collect, and inventory supplies.
- Collect and review staff vouchers.
- Participate in meetings and planning days.
- Other duties as assigned

Required:
- Current Minnesota Teaching or K-12 Counseling License.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
