Gymnastics Team Coaches
This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit, charitable organization committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. The Gymnastics coach at South Wood County YMCA maintains a supportive, positive atmosphere that welcomes and respects all individuals, promotes the potential of all youth, and provides a quality experience to both youth and their families.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Be able to teach all lessons and demonstrate elements of skills.
Act as role model for gymnastics participants by always exhibiting the YMCA core characters values of respect, honesty, caring, and responsibilities.
Be able to offer creative ideas/skill to programs.
Assist with cleaning and upkeep of gymnastics center.
Encourages and promotes member and parent involvement.
Follows all emergency and safety procedures.
Performs responsibilities and duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum age of 18 years old.
- Previous experience preferred.
- During competition season must be available 2-3 nights per week plus weekends as needed.
- Ability to develop positive, authentic relationships with people from different backgrounds.
- Maintain a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the program and will have evening and weekend work.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $10.00 - $11.00 per hour
