Southall Heritage Youth Home, a transitional living facility, is hiring direct childcare staff for all shifts. We seek passionate individuals, regardless of gender, interested in youth care. While experience in youth treatment settings is ideal, it's not mandatory. Our facility operates 24/7, serving youth aged 13 to 21.
Upon employment, you'll benefit from comprehensive training and ongoing education covering:

Financial and other requirements include:
- Costs for TB test, CPR, and CPI will be paid by SHYH.
- Must have a valid driver's license and proof of insurance.
Compensation details:
- Starting pay ranges from $13 to $17 per hour.
- Opportunities for wage increases based on experience and performance after a 90-day probation period.
General Professional Knowledge
- Collaborating with fellow child care staff to maintain a safe and orderly home for residents, adhering to relevant licensing and accreditation standards.
- Monitoring residents to safeguard their safety and well-being, tailoring supervision levels to meet the specific needs and circumstances of each resident.
- Ensuring residents have necessary clothing, footwear, personal care supplies, and hygiene products for grooming, along with providing encouragement and guidance on maintaining personal hygiene.
- Assist youth in the planning, ordering, and preparation of nutritious meals and snacks within the home.
- Assist youth with cooking, cleaning, laundry, and personal care tasks.
- Facilitating youth participation in home activities and external services and programs offered by SHYH.
- Maintaining cleanliness, organization, and proper upkeep of all facilities and equipment.
- Follow the policies of SHYH
- Maintaining accurate records of medications and incident reports.
- Administering prescribed medications and first aid as needed.
- Demonstrating reliability in all aspects of the role.
Qualifications:
- HS Diploma or GED (Required).
- Driverse License (Required)
- Must be 21 years or older
- Pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
- Undergo an FBI digital fingerprint check
- Complete a TB test
- Obtain CPR and CPI (behavior intervention) certification
- Availability for day shifts, night shifts, PT, FT, including some state and federal holidays.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $13.00 - $16.00 per hour
