We are hiring a per diem Receptionist / Smoking Attendant to join our dynamic care team at Southbridge Rehabilitation & Health Care Center!

Weekly pay! Schedule is Sunday 8a-4p, Thursday 9a-2p, and Friday 9a-4p one week and then Monday 8a-4p, Tuesday 9a-2p, and Saturday 8a-4p week two.

As our receptionist and smoking attendant, you perform clerical support in an efficient manner in accordance with established procedures, and as directed by your supervisor and provide the resident with a clean and orderly smoking environment in accordance with current federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations that govern our facility as may be directed by Senior Leadership.

Experience & Education :

Must have a working knowledge of filing and respect for confidentiality.
High school diploma or its equivalent

Duties & Responsibilities :

Operate telephone system

Utilize proper phone etiquette.

Receive and direct all persons entering the facility to appropriate areas.

Responsible for general typing and secretarial functions.

Distribute paychecks per policy and procedure.

Is responsible to receive and direct incoming mail and deliveries appropriately.

Demonstrate correct safety techniques.

Respect and take care of facility equipment and not wasteful of supplies.

Contribute to and promote resident and family relations.

Knowledgeable in facility’s Privacy Practice and complies by protecting all residents’ health information.

Assist residents with smoking, lighting materials and or help with transportation to and from the designated smoking area.

Maintain a clean designated smoking area for residents.

Transportation of the residents to and from the designated smoking area.

Ensuring residents maintain a safe smoking environment.

Other duties as assigned by manager.

Specific Requirements :

Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.

Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action and to remain calm during emergency situations.

Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, and the general public.

Must be knowledgeable of administrative practices, procedures and guidelines.

Must possess a cheerful personality and be ability to work harmoniously with other personnel.

Must possess the ability to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing practices.

Must be able to follow written and oral instructions.

Has knowledge of personnel application procedures.

Must be able to type 50 words per minute.

Is knowledgeable of all office equipment.
