Behavioral Health Technician

Job Description:

Patient support specialists at Southcoast Behavioral Health play a crucial role in providing exceptional care services to patients. As a Patient Support Associate, you will work under the guidance of clinical or nursing leadership to ensure the well-being of patients and create a positive, supportive environment.

Main Responsibilities:

• Ensure patient safety and provide excellent customer service.
• Document accurate and timely clinical information in patient records.
• Assist with daily living activities, such as toileting, bathing, dressing, and feeding.
• Interact with patients, observe behaviors, and communicate significant observations to nursing staff.
• Facilitate educational-rehabilitative groups and engage patients in activities promoting treatment goals.

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Six months or more experience working with similar populations preferred.
• CPR and de-escalation training certification required.
