Exciting Opportunity: RN Program Manager - Acute Care/ER/Trauma Program
Location: Wrangell, Alaska - Southeast Alaska Regional Health Consortium (SEARHC)
$104K-$146K Annually DOE, plus $25K/yr geographical pay
Sign-On Bonus: $25K
Relocation Bonus: $10K

About the Role: As the RN Program Manager, you'll provide administrative oversight and direction for the Emergency Department, Trauma Services, and Acute Medical Services. You'll be accountable for planning, directing, leading, and evaluating nursing care within these service areas. A key aspect of this role is serving as the Trauma Coordinator, which is essential to the success of our trauma program.
What You'll Do:
- Oversee daily workflow, staffing, orientation, training, and development of employees within the ER and Acute medical department services.
- Act as the hospital liaison with all pre-hospital emergency medical services and area Trauma referral centers.
- Organize services and systems necessary for a multidisciplinary approach throughout the continuum of trauma care.
- Assume responsibility for the clinical and financial performance of the Trauma Program.
- Facilitate Emergency Prep, ED, and Acute staff meetings.
- Promote and support a collaborative team approach in providing care for all ED, trauma, and acute care patients.
- Work as a staff nurse when needed to ensure staffing coverage of departments.
- Support and interpret policies, procedures, philosophy, and objectives of the hospital.
- Monitor customer satisfaction scores and implement plans for improvement.
- Investigate patient, physician, and staff complaints and concerns and work toward resolutions.
- Contribute to budget building and maintenance, leading cost-efficient and effective operations.
What We're Looking For:
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) required or must be enrolled in a program to be completed within 2 years.
- Current full, unrestricted Registered Nursing license in Alaska or other U.S. state required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification.
- Certification for Emergency Nursing (CEN) required as soon as eligible and within 2 years of hire.
- 2 to 3 years of management and/or supervisory experience
- 3 years of Emergency Room experience in a similarly-sized hospital preferred.
- Trauma Program Experience
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
