- Provide academic, social, and emotional support to 9-12 students.
- Assist with student scheduling, transitions, and end of year academic planning.
- Support students in resolving conflicts and managing social emotional challenges.
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student success.
- Facilitate small group and individual counseling sessions as needed.
- Participate in team meetings and student support plans.
- Assist with 504 Plans, IEP meetings, and behavioral intervention plans as appropriate.
- Support end of year school events and transitions.
- Works in a supportive and collaborative manner with colleagues and supervisors.
- Maintains and improves professional skills by participating in building and department meetings, formal coursework, workshops, and seminars in an effort to stay current with best practices.
- Participates in a professional learning community on a regular basis.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Summary:
Pine Island High School is seeking a licensed School Counselor for the 2025-26 school year. This is a full time position. Our counselor has the opportunity to work with students in a variety of means including post high school planning, registration, and student support. Our counselor is part of a strong team across the district including a social worker, school linked mental health services, and another high school counselor. Pine Island Schools is a growing district with over 1,500 students, and is located ten minutes north of Rochester.
