Job Title: School Social Worker
Job Description: Long Term Substitute School Social Worker, 1.0 FTE at Roosevelt Elementary. Provides developmental and supportive counseling services to students. Consults with teachers and administrators to assist in developing interventions and alternatives to facilitate student’s academic performance and emotional adjustment. Liaison between school and home to ensure appropriate transition of students. This position commences on approximately 8/25/25 with the start of the 24-25 school year and goes until approximately 12/23/25.
Qualifications: Valid licensure and credentials expected. Successful experience working as a social worker in a school with at-risk students setting is highly desirable.
Education, Experience & Special Requirements, and Licensure: Licensed Graduate Social Work preferred (LGSW) or Licensed Social Worker (LSW). Must also have credential from Minnesota Department of Education. Bachelor's or Master's degree in social work or chemical health related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. K-12 School Social Work License. Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with students, parents, staff and administration.
