Position Summary :
The Special Education Paraprofessional's primary focus is on directly serving students or in preparation for meeting the student's needs. Behavior Intervention will support students with self regulation.
Requirements :
High School diploma or general education degree (GED). Read, write, and comprehend instructions, short correspondences, and memos. Mobility and ability to lift and / or assist individuals who weigh up to 50 pounds. Hearing, speech, and sight are required.
Other Skills and Abilities :
Present information in one-to-one and small group situations to students, parents, and or staff. Provide a variety of suggestions for working with students in the special education setting. Maintain flexibility in day to day dealing with staff and students. Maintain the confidentiality of all information regarding students. Perform duties within a tight daily schedule and with an awareness of all district requirements and Board of Education policies.
Schedule :
5 days per week / 6.5 hours per day / 7 : 45AM - 2 : 45PM
Rate of Pay :
B-2-1 / / $18.81 - $22.36 per hour depending on experience
