What are the responsibilities and job description for the Worship Leader - Shelby County Campus position at Southeast Christian Church?
Shepherd the Shelby County Campus in carrying out the vision of Connecting people to Jesus and one another through worship. The main focus of this role is to develop and lead an expressive worship culture that supports the Vision and Strategies of SECC. As well as, shepherding volunteers to lead and share that same Vision/Mission.
What We Are Looking For:
- Coordinating with Central Worship Team to organize and lead weekend services at local campus.
- Shepherd, lead, disciple, train and coach volunteers
- Scheduling volunteers
- Running rehearsals
- Learning new songs
- Be and active member of SC Campus team/church family
- Pastoral roles – weddings, funerals, hospital visits, etc.
- Special Events – leading worship for other campus events (Students, Worship Nights, etc…)
What You Will Be Doing:
- Shepherd at Heart - willing to invest time and energy with others
- Knowledgeable in Scripture
- Discernment
- Strong communication leadership skills (On platform and off)
- Lead vocal talented, with strong musical experience with guitar or other instruments.
- Leading teams volunteers/staff
- Proficient with Ableton
- Strong work ethic and is a team player/collaborator
- Flexible, adaptable, and availbe
- Good at receiving and giving critical feedback
Our Requirements:
- Experienced in music technology such as ProTools, Ableton Live, Logic and MainStage
- Bachelor’s degree in Ministry from a Bible College is preferred but not required
- Experience in leading worship (minimum of 3 years)
- Ordained Minister of the Gospel or willing to be ordained
- Engaged member of Southeast Christian Church, or willing to become one
