Dietary Clerk - Dietary POSITION SUMMARY: Provides clerical support for the Dietary Department.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES
• Responsible for inventory, ordering, checking in grocery/supply deliveries
• Ensuring that items received are checked against the invoice and filed
• Processing invoices
• Calculating meal and fluid intake
• Updating menu cycles
• Preparing monthly charges
• Updating resident information lists
• Preparing catering schedule and assisting with catering events
• Maintaining cash records, tally cash register, and take monies to the Business Office.
• Reporting resident/patient food concerns to the Kitchen Supervisor and/or the Food Services Director.
• Assists in preparing end of month dietary reports, obtaining prices, meals served, etc.
• Calculate charges to be made to various departments.
• Prepare and deliver menu order tickets and cafeteria menus.
• Update information regarding diet, food allergies, food preferences etc., on resident’s diet list.
• Maintain the supplement and nourishment lists.
• Assists with day-to-day office work such as copying, filing, faxing, etc.
• Attends meetings and in-service sessions, as directed.
• Requires regular attendance and punctuality.
• Performs other assigned duties

• High school or equivalent education.

• Experience in hospital/nursing home food service is preferred not required.
