**Job Title:** Diesel Ag Equipment Service Technology Instructor
The Diesel Ag Equipment Service Technology Instructor is responsible for developing and implementing Diesel Ag Equipment Service Technology program courses. These courses take place in a classroom/laboratory setting as well as an online/laboratory (hybrid) format.
**Essential Functions:**
- Provide instruction and develop courses in assigned subject areas.
- Practice and encourage safety.
- Provide instruction to a diverse student population according to the objectives of each course in the Diesel Ag Equipment Service Technology program.
- Teach various aspects of Agricultural and Mobile Off-Road Equipment repair and maintenance.
- Prepare and administer student evaluation instruments and maintain accurate student records on attendance, achievement, and progress.
- Remain current in events and developments related to the subject area.
- Participate in division and college meetings and committees.
- Maintain the security of College vehicles, equipment, facilities, and materials.
- Advise students on their academic progress, courses needed for graduation, and division/college policies and procedures.
- Develop/Revise Course Curriculum and Educational Materials.
- Function as a Member of the Diesel Ag Equipment Service Technology Program, Transportation Division, Instructional Division, and SCC teams.
- Perform other functions related to teaching assignments.
- Maintain and upgrade the Diesel Technology classroom/laboratory instructional facilities and equipment.

**Minimum Qualifications:**
- Associate Degree in a Diesel Technology or related field plus current OEM Agriculture or Construction Equipment Master Certification*, or Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
* Tested Experience by examination during the interview process may be substituted for OEM Agriculture or Construction Equipment Master Certification. Such examination will include knowledge and/or physical demonstration of competence in one or more areas of ag equipment diagnosis and repair.
**Salary and Benefits: $54,300 per year. Eligible Employees: Full-time status. Regular employees with an FTE of 0.75 or greater will be eligible for SCC Ben Dollars. All employees will be required to elect a health insurance option.
This is a full-time regular position with an implied 40-hour work week, based on a 175-day work calendar. Teaching assignments for this position are scheduled and approved by the College, between 7:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Saturday and Sunday based on the instructional work calendar.
