Elevated Gear is the retail store at Southeast Lineman Training Center, the premier training school for entry level electric and telecommunications lineworkers. The campus store sells logo apparel, headwear and accessories as well as the tools for the trades to our 1,100 onsite students per year. Elevated Gear will be investing heavily into online sales in 2025, extending our reach to friends and families as well as the extensive alumni network, giving the new manager the opportunity to make a direct impact on a well-established and growing business.
BRIEF OVERALL DESCRIPTION/PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
The Retail and E-Commerce Manager oversees the daily operations and drives the overall success of the Elevated Gear retail and online stores. In store activities include tracking sales and margins by product, planning new sku’s, restocking, customer service and retail sales. In addition to managing in-store activities, this role will have ownership of integrating the online sales channel while working with the marketing department to implement digital marketing strategies to enhance brand presence and boost revenue. The Retail and E-Commerce Manager will manage staff, ensure excellent customer service, optimize sales (both in-store and online), and maintain a well-organized and appealing store environment. This role requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and a deep understanding of both traditional retail and e-commerce.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Achieve and exceed both sales and margin targets by developing effective sales strategies for both in-store and e-commerce platforms
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for both physical and digital channels, adjusting strategies to drive growth
- Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by addressing concerns both in-store and through online customer service platforms
- Maintain knowledge of current promotions, products, and market trends to assist customers and improve both in-store and online sales
- Manage inventory levels for both the physical store and online platforms, ensuring product availability across all channels
- Ensure timely replenishment of stock, minimizing stockouts for both in-store and online customers
- Oversee visual merchandising standards in-store, while ensuring the online store is optimized with appeal product descriptions, images, and layouts
- Oversee cash handling, banking, and financial reporting for both physical and online sales
- Analyze store performance metrics, including online sales data, and prepare regular reports for executive management
- Manage store and online budgets, ensuring profitability through efficient cost control and streamlined operations
- Develop and execute digital marketing strategies to boost online traffic, including SEO, email marketing, social media campaigns, and paid ads. The school has a marketing team in place to assist with this.
- Use analytics tools to track online sales performance, customer behavior, and marketing effectiveness, making data-driven adjustments as needed
- Engage with customers through social media platforms, responding to inquiries, comments, and reviews to enhance brand loyalty
- Implement local marketing initiatives to drive store traffic and increase both in-store and online sales
- Develop partnerships and promote the store through events, collaborations, and influencer marketing
- Ensure all marketing campaigns are synchronized across physical and digital platforms, delivering a cohesive brand message

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION REQUIRED/DESIRED:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Retail Management, Marketing, Sales or a related field (preferred)
- 3-5 years of experience in a retail or e-commerce environment, preferably with 1-2 years in a management role, including e-commerce and digital marketing experience
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proven experience in retail management, with knowledge of e-commerce and online marketing strategies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed both physical store and online sales targets
- Proficiency with retail software, POS systems, e-commerce platforms, and digital marketing tools
- Experience with social media management and email marketing platforms
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
