Southeastern Machining and Field Service Inc. is a full-service provider of precision machining including full service sheet metal fabrication, engineering and design, machine building and assemblies. We serve diverse customers and industries on a made-to-order basis. We have an immediate opening for a CNC Maintenance Technician at our Lancaster, Ohio location. The candidate chosen for this position will be responsible for the machines at our facility that keep our company running. The CNC Maintenance Technician is responsible for directing and participating in all scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of production equipment and the facility. You will work in collaboration with our Maintenance Manager to make sure our facility is safe and operating at peak condition.
Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoots, repairs and performs preventative maintenance and calibration of CNC machine tools and related industrial equipment
- Installation, service, and repairs of CNC Machines and industrial equipment, electric motors, and other related equipment
- Move and replace machinery using fork lifts and dollies
- Use gages and other test instruments to diagnose malfunctions and hand and power tools to disassemble, repair, and reassemble system components
- Replaces fuses, light bulbs, circuit breakers, electric switches, and other electrical equipment following electrical specifications
- Monitors contractor performance and works closely with outside vendors and contractors to ensure work is completed according to specifications
- Solicits bids and quotes from vendors
- Expected to run wire, unhook and hookup power to machinery as and when needed, and should be able to do terminations at the electrical panels and at the machines as well
- Performs lockout / tag out procedures for safety
- Performs other duties as assigned, to maintain efficiency throughout the company
- Ability to lift-up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics and perform testing and repairs accordingly
- Record maintenance and repair work performed
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- 3 or more years of CNC Maintenance experience
- Mechanical aptitude
- Proficiency in mechanical and controls calibration standards and method
- Proficient with hand tools and the ability to read precision measuring hand tools
