Production Planner

Position Summary : Responsible for managing workflow to ensure customer requirements are met through management of internal production resources. Primary Accountabilities (Essential Duties) :

• Execution of lean methodologies in production environment with emphasis on planning and scheduling processes.
• Effectively works and communicates with all departments to create and maintain the operation floor schedule for high volume assembly manufacturing group.
• Ensures effective communication of priorities and order specific information with emphasizes on retail customers.
• Meets or exceeds customer expectations by utilizing training and experience to create a manufacturing schedule.
• Receipts of inbound materials and inventory control.
• Evaluate material requirement and negative items reports to create daily work schedules for each machine, slitter operators and production supervision.
• Analyze slitter capacity and sales trends to accurately determine material needed daily / weekly / monthly.
• Determine comparable products / inventory tolerances, run-time, and machine capacity to reduce changeovers and maximize production output.
• Evaluate current production and shipping schedules to maximize efficiency when creating short lead time or add on orders.

Work closely with operations to understand and act on production issues related to quality.

Such as, but not limited to; safety, weekly cycle counts, inventory management raw, pack and FG, KPI projects and monthly financial management requirements.
