Overview
We are seeking a Forklift Operator (experience preferred) to join our dynamic warehouse team, primarily loading and unloading palletized product on dry van trucks. The ideal candidate will be responsible for efficiently operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to ensure smooth warehouse operations. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced but safe environment.
Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts to load and unload materials from trucks and storage areas.
- Utilize warehouse management systems for tracking inventory and managing shipments.
- Experience level can correlate to higher pay.
- Assist in shipping and receiving processes, ensuring accurate order fulfillment and protecting product integrity in paper bags.
- Build and organize pallets for storage or shipment while adhering to safety standards.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to ensure efficient workflow and address any operational issues.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment to maintain and ensure safe operation.
- Follow OSHA regulations and company policies regarding safety in the workplace.
Requirements
- Experience with forklifts or similar equipment in a manufacturing or similar role in a warehouse setting.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems is a plus.
- Experience with shipping and receiving processes is preferred.
- Ability to learn bar coding and associated paperwork.
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to safety practices.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team under minimal supervision.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
