Position Overview
An Inside Sales Representative engages with existing and potential customers remotely
to increase revenue and expand the company's customer base. This role involves
generating new business by converting leads into sales opportunities through internal
sales activities, proactive outreach, and effectively managing relationships. ISRs will
also assist with maintaining new accounts in an active growth phase until they are
transitioned to the outside sales team.
Responsibilities Include
• Prospecting: Perform cold-calling activities through various channels such as
phone calls, emails, video meetings, and other online communication.
• Initial Outreach: Identify potential customers through research and outreach
activities.
• Sales Pipeline Management: Maintain a sales pipeline by continuously
nurturing leads and moving them through the sales cycle.
• Product Education: Provide information and promote company products and
services to potential customers. Identify opportunities to offer additional products
or services that complement the customer's purchases.
• Customize Sales Presentations: Prepare and deliver sales presentations
tailored to the needs of different customers.
• Customer Account Management: Oversee designated customer accounts
primarily via phone, with occasional opportunities for in-person interactions.
• Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Work closely with various departments to
align sales efforts with company goals and customer needs.
The ideal candidate will have
• At least 2 years of Inside Sales or Sales Support experience
• Ability to engage and build rapport with new people through strong
communication and interpersonal skills
• Familiarity with social media platforms and digital outreach strategies
• Basic understanding of the sales process and customer journey
• Proficiency with CRM software, lead generation tools and Microsoft Office Suite
(Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Self-motivated with a strong drive to identify and pursue new business
opportunities.
• Ability to handle rejection and maintain a positive attitude.
• Able to adjust strategies and approaches based on feedback and market
conditions.
• Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple leads simultaneously
and evaluate lead quality to optimize strategy
• Customer-centric with a focus on delivering exceptional service.
• Ability to physically sit at a desk for long periods, operate a computer, and
listen/speak clearly on the phone and in-person
• Reliable transportation for limited local travel opportunities
