As a Dispatcher at Southeastern Paperboard, Inc., you will be responsible for the following:
- Monitor and manage driver communications, equipment, develop and schedule deliveries, assign routes, and effectively resolvedelivery issues
- Responsible for dispatch functions within a busy logistics environment involving a small fleet of trucks
- Responsible for the timely, and effective, management of detailed logistics information
- Works to ensure that the customer’s needs are being met by efficiently communicating details of pick-up and delivery to the customer, carriers, and drivers
- Helps to ensure driver accountability as it relates to compliance, operations, equipment usage and company policies
Qualifications
- Must possess a minimum of 3( ) years as a dispatcher for a logistics company; required.
- Must possess strong interpersonal skills and a high sense of urgency.
- Effective and professional written and oral communication skills are required.
- Must be comfortable managing multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent personal computer skills are required.
- Knowledge of Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations is needed.
- A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected to meet customer delivery expectations.
