What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clincal Manager position at Southeastern Rheumatology Alliance?
The Clinic Manager will be responsible for supervision of assigned department personnel while ensuring the maintenance of quality patient care in compliance with company, local, state, and federal regulations and accreditation standards. This includes interpreting policies and procedures, standards, and regulations, inventory management, oversee maintenance of the facility, and adjusting staff for adequate coverage.
- Coordinates and oversees the daily activities of all assigned MAs and LPNs.
- Establishes assigned practice work schedules and request floater(s) as needed.
- Responsible for the oversight and approval process of timecards, PTO, disciplinary and performance appraisals of assigned team members in an accurate and timely manner.
- Evaluates team members, receiving team input and participation to provide timely and specific feedback and counseling that improves performance and staff development.
- Dedicate time, as needed, to supporting corporate office initiatives to include: educating and training locations as needed, acting as a MIPS subject matter expert.
- Dedicate the remaining 75% of time to supporting the practice and practice initiatives.
- Assist with interviews and conducts department orientation and training with new hires.
- Assist in disciplinary action as needed in conjunction with Manager and Human Resources.
- Responsible for ensuring high quality care for patients by reviewing and researching concerns or complaints, recommending corrective action as appropriate, and escalating to Manager for resolution when needed.
- Responsible for ensuring all assigned employees adhere to patient safety and protection of patient privacy rights by observing HIPAA regulations.
- Assist with implementation of new equipment and ancillary equipment in collaboration with physicians and staff.
- Maintain adequate inventory of supplies and ensures supply purchases are cost efficient.
- Maintain excellent communication and effective working relationships with patients, providers, clinical and clerical team members for continuity of high-quality patient care.
- Conducts training and development programs for staff to assure competence in patient care.
- Responsible for performing all clinical duties as needed on a day to day basis: monitoring, tracking and assisting patients during office visits.
- Patient safety and protection of patient privacy rights by observing HIPAA regulations.
- Obtaining and accurately recording patient information; vital signs, height, weight, allergies, current medications, and all medical history in the EMR.
- Updating charts and tracking paperwork to completion.
- Cleaning and preparing examination rooms, equipment, and tools per protocol.
- Accurately document patient plan(s) of care, tests and examination results in the medical record as directed by the provider.
- Able to work at all local Practice locations as needed.
- MIPS tracking and documentation responsibilities.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
