We are seeking a computer-savvy Rockstar to join our team! The Permit Coordinator oversees all aspects of permits management, works with a design team in the Traffic Control industry to ensure projects stay on track by administering permits, and expediting the permit process for all parties.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Manage the end-to-end process of acquiring, tracking, and maintaining MOT permits, ensuring compliance with all regulations.
- Collaborate with engineers and CAD technicians to gather accurate documentation for permit submissions.
- Ensure timely application processing to meet project deadlines and client requirements.
- Maintain real-time permit data in tracking systems and generate regular status reports for stakeholders.
- Build strong relationships with municipal agencies and clients to streamline approvals.
- Organize and maintain comprehensive permit records for audits and references.
- Oversee invoicing for permit-related activities, ensuring timely and accurate billing. Support and mentor junior staff, promoting a collaborative and efficient team environment.
- Take on additional tasks as needed with a proactive and adaptable approach.
What We Are Looking For:
- High school diploma or GED; some college preferred
- At least 1 year of experience with permitting
- Familiarity with the Traffic Control industry is a plus
- Strong organization and time management skills
- Able to read and understand MOT plans and apply Federal/State standards
- Detail-oriented and a strong team player in fast-paced settings
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Excellent communication and follow-up skills
- Skilled at handling multiple tasks and meeting deadlines
Working Environment:
Work will be performed within office and field environments. Requires travel to job sites around the Fort Lauderdale area to hold pre-construction meetings; involves working near high-speed traffic and large construction equipment on occasion.
