JOB SUMMARY
Based in Lakeland, the position reports to the Accounts Receivable Manager. The Accounts Receivable Specialist works closely with internal and external personnel associated with the SEU Network, SEU Partnerships, and other third parties the university conducts business with.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES - May include, but is not limited to the following:

Billing:
- Coordinate efforts with the Registrar's Office and Student Financial Services to ensure appropriate charges are placed for all SEU Network and Partnership programs and deliveries
- Collaborate extensively with the SEU Network Operations team and the SEU Partnership team on all aspects of billing, student balance resolution, and internal processes
- Direct all third-party and non-student billing procedures including invoice management and payment resolution in collaboration with the Cashiers office
- Manage the coordination efforts between Billing and SEU Network and SEU Partnership administration to ensure accurate tuition rates, general fees, and site fees
Accounts Receivable:

Prepare reports for and communicate to internal and external personnel all receivable information relative to SEU Network, Partnerships, and third parties
Collaborate with Student Financial Services to work on collecting current student balances - Collaborate with the Collections office to work on collecting past-due balances for non-current students
- Document and communicate trends and factors that could lead to more successful billing, collections, and university procedure
Systems and Processes:
- Analyze enrollment reports against current student charges
- Conduct weekly analysis of student accounts receivable balances for both current and former students Assist with month-end Accounts Receivable reconciliation procedures

Required Education:
Bachelor's in Business Administration, Accounting, or related field
Preferred Education:
Master's in Finance or Accounting

EXPERIENCE
Required:
A minimum of one year of relevant accounting experience
Preferred:
At least three years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in government or higher education.

Preferred:
- Systems - Proven experience with process improvement, system development, and use of effective communication strategies
- Technology - Proficient in MS Office, Jenzabar, Student Information Systems, and database management, and familiar with programming languages, including SQL Server

TRAINING
All new hires and employees transferring into a new position will have a 90-day probationary period within which to learn the functions of the job and to be evaluated.
