JOB SUMMARY
The administrative assistant will perform day-to-day administrative duties for the MBA/PhD Program in the Jannetides College of Business, Communication & Leadership/College of Social Sciences & Humanities. The Administrative Assistant supports the daily operations of both Graduate Schools by providing essential administrative and clerical support to faculty, staff, and students. This role ensures the smooth functioning of academic and operational processes by managing schedules, coordinating meetings, handling correspondence, and maintaining records. This position requires a proactive individual who thrives in a dynamic environment and is dedicated to supporting our students. The ideal candidate will have experience in a higher education environment, demonstrating strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. They will assist with student inquiries, faculty support, event planning, and administrative tasks related to academic programs. Attention to detail, discretion, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting are essential for success in this role.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES - May include, but is not limited to the following:
- Provide administrative support to faculty, staff, and students.
- Coordinate and schedule meetings ensuring efficient time management.
- Manage student and faculty inquiries.
- Assist in maintaining student records, databases, and other academic documentation.
- Assist in event planning, including intensives and residencies.
- Handle all correspondence.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall efficiency of the department.

Required:

EXPERIENCE
Required:
- 2 years Administrative experience.
Preferred:
- Working in a higher education setting.
EDUCATION
Required Education:
High school diploma/GED required.
Preferred Education:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience will be considered.
