Job Summary
The Shipping Clerk will be responsible for but not limited to overseeing day-to-day operations within the shipping department, managing the packaging and delivery of healthcare products, and ensuring the timely and accurate completion of shipping tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Print shipping labels and package prescriptions with precision and speed.
- Maintain a steady supply of essential shipping materials such as envelopes, labels, and ice packs.
- Prepare ice packs by freezing them in advance for safe transit of pharmaceutical products.
- Manage the loading and unloading of pallets safely and efficiently.
- Crimp vials to secure closures and safeguard contents.
- Assemble syringes and swabs in ziplock bags according to prescribed guidelines.
- Assist in waste disposal and maintain cleanliness in the shipping area.
Qualifications
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping or warehouse operations is preferred.
- Strong organizational and time management skills; meticulous attention to detail; ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience operating a pallet jack.
Preferred
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and various tasks.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time at a desk and working on a computer
- Ability to communicate effectively in person, over the phone, or via virtual meeting
- Ability to maintain focus in a typical office environment with moderate noise levels
- Ability to perform repetitive motions with hands and arms, such as typing.
