Title : Associate General CounselLocation : Dallas Headquarters with ability to travel as neededReports to : General CounselThe Associate General Counsel provides legal guidance and support across the airline’s operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and mitigating legal risks. This role involves advising on corporate governance, labor and employment matters, commercial contracts, regulatory compliance, litigation, and risk management. The Associate General Counsel will work closely with the General Counsel, internal stakeholders, external counsel, and government agencies to protect the airline’s legal and business interests.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to : Provide expert and strategic legal advice to managementSet internal governance policies and manage the impact of external factorsEvaluate and weigh multiple inputs and impacts of any decision or course of actionAnticipate issues and estimate risks strategicallyIdentify proactive solutions that will eliminate or mitigate risksBase your decision making process on ethics and integrityCreate associations of trust and respect with key stakeholdersDeal with external parties (regulators, external counsel, politicians, clients)Attract, develop, direct, motivate and drive performance from teamDraft agreements that minimize risks and maximize legal rightsMeet legal objectivesDeal with complex, significant matters that cut across legal and related areasKeep abreast of legislative changesCollaborate with cross-functional teams including sales, support, service, business development, regulatory, IT, people operations, and finance, as well as various business unitsManage, coach and develop Legal team employeesProvide support for other ad hoc analyses and projects as needed.Any other task or duty as needed or assigned.POSITION REQUIREMENTSKnowledge, Skills & Abilities : Entrepreneurial spirit : We are a growing organization and need team members who thrive in a rapidly changing environment.
