Job Title : Worship Leader – Music Director

Job Description : This position organizes the worship services including the music. This position cooperates with and reports to the Pastor. This is a part-time hourly-pay position, and a successful candidate should feel called to serve as a Worship Leader – Music Director. The candidate must have the ability to lead a worship service that draws on contemporary music as well as standard hymns, and in a style that has the goal of connecting as many people as possible with the saving grace of Jesus Christ and growth in their walk with Jesus.

Responsibilities :

• Study the music needs of the church and make recommendations to help meet those needs.
• Set up objectives, policies, and procedures which will help the church develop a music program to minister in all areas of church life.
• Be responsible for the entire music ministry which will ensure the music is scripturally true, doctrinally sound, and spiritually uplifting.
• Report to the church at business meetings regarding activities and plans for the music program.
• Oversee the sound system and the volunteers operating the sanctuary's media system.
• Organize a choir.
• Organize Christmas and Easter music programs for the choir.
• Participate in community worship programs.

Experience : Experience preferred, but an entry-level candidate will be considered.

Education : High School graduate or certificate of high school equivalency.

Pay range : $17.00 to $20.00 per hour.

Benefits : If this position becomes full-time, vacation time would be available based on longevity. Time away for conventions and participation in revivals would also become available.

Hours per week : Approximately seven (7) hours per week initially.
