Become a Energy Management Systems (EMS) Developer Associate Specialist at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. In this job, you will develop your skills working with the SCE power system configuration, control system database and display editing tools and gain detailed understanding of the SCE grid operation, substation construction and maintenance and engineering business processes. You will maintain the control system databases and displays as related to SCE's Transmission and Distribution Operations, Engineering and several other T&D businesses.
You'll collaborate with top-notch engineers to implement cutting-edge T&D Capital Infrastructure projects and automation solutions. Dive into configuring control systems and SCADA databases, ensuring the electric grid's seamless operation. Your role will also involve analyzing and enhancing database and display issues, providing tier-one support, and conducting client site visits for feedback and training.

Responsibilities
- Updates advance applications like the state estimator, contingency analysis, power flow and the correct modeling of applicable electric system changes
- Assists in gathering and documentation of grid application requirements
- Utilizes documented procedures and processes to achieve system reliability and efficiency
- Participates in testing of the system changes whether defects or new enhancements
- Tracks issue resolution and documents solutions implemented and updates the troubleshooting guides
- Performs ongoing system maintenance, administration, and upgrade activity
- Assists in analyzing existing facilities and developing solutions during the proposal development phase
- Ensures maintenance and support activities are in compliance with processes and adheres to the Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
- Assists the service group in resolving grid application problems on service agreement accounts
- Produces deliverables with deadlines and ensures various project completion
- A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.
