WORK LOCATION, SCHEDULE, & TRAVEL
JOB SUMMARY
These positions are responsible for leading and executing detailed design activities on electrical power systems at power generating facilities across the Southern Company fleet. This includes but is not limited to quality assurance, governance, cost control, schedule adherence, project development and scope, guidance documents, adherence to standards, best practice reviews, and project closeout. These positions will produce engineering drawings, specifications, and material requirements to facilitate construction, operation, and maintenance of electrical power systems. Activities will be executed with an emphasis on safety, quality, scheduling, and costs. The role will be responsible for providing technical direction and Quality Assurance reviews for detailed design activities. These positions require some travel (approximately 25%) and the ability to work successfully in an office environment, a remote / virtual environment with access to internet service, and an industrial / plant environment.
