Position: Accounts Payable Clerk
Location: Sulphur, Louisiana (Headquarters)
The Position Summary:
Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the Accounts Payable clerk is responsible for the company’s accounts payable functions and ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, payments and related financial transactions. This position involves maintaining organized records, verifying and reconciling invoices, handling vendor inquiries, and ensuring compliance with internal accounting procedures.
Accounts Payable Clerk Responsibilities:
- Process all vendor invoices for all Southern Devall business units
- Perform AP functions weekly, including printing checks, uploading positive pay, and submitting EFTs
- Other duties as assigned
- Provide backup to AR Clerk
- Maintain accurate records of accounts payable transactions
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in accounts payable or accounting roles a plus
- Demonstrated computer skills: Expert with MS office (Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook, Sharepoint)

- Self-started, able to priorities and work independently as well with team members
- Excellent leadership, interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills
- Ability to maintain successful working relationships with departmental personnel, maritime vessel personnel, and customers

- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
