What are the responsibilities and job description for the Directional Drill Operator position at Southern Directional, INC?
Southern Directional is hiring for an experience Drill Operator. As a Drill Operator, you will be responsible for:
- Operating directional drilling equipment to drill boreholes for pipelines, cables and other underground utilities.
- Monitoring gauges, dials and displays to ensure that drilling parameters are maintained
- Calculating and adjusting drilling parameters to ensure that the borehole is drilled in the specified direction, at the expected angle.
- Determining the most affective drill path by analyzing survey and other data.
- Selecting the necessary tools and equipment for the job and staying on top of drilling equipment maintenance.
- Keeping detailed records of drilling operations
Must have valid form of ID
Must be able to pass a drug test and background check
Must have reliable transportation
