Ophthalmic Technician
Southern Eye Center is seeking an Ophthalmic Technician. Experience preferred but we train excellent candidates.
Ideal candidates work effectively as part of a team, enjoy working with seniors, have a high level of energy, are familiar and comfortable with laptop and desktop computers and iPads, communicate well, are mature and stable, and have a desire to help others. Must be polite, kind, have excellent attention to detail, have reliable transportation, be well spoken, and be a good listener.
Job duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Obtaining a detailed patient medical history in an electronic medical record.
- Checking visual acuity
- Measuring eye pressure
- Placing dilation eye drops
- Assisting our Physician with various facets of the examination
- Perform special testing such as visual field examinations
High school diploma required.
Some college preferred.
Previous medical office experience a plus.
This is a full-time position that offers competitive pay and a highly competitive benefits package.
Compensation: Dependent upon experience

Pay: $14.00 - $15.50 per hour
