What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inventory Operations Analyst position at Southern Glazer's Wine & Spirits?
- Monitor stock levels, identify discrepancies, and suggest corrective actions to maintain accurate Inventory records.
- Manage Daily Reconciliation Report, identify patterns or root causes of recurring Inventory discrepancies to recommend preventative measures.
- Perform scheduled cycle counts by regularly counting designated Operations/Inventory items in a specific warehouse location.s
- Investigate, research, and document any discrepancies between physical Inventory and system records, including potential causes like receiving errors, picking mistakes, or damaged goods.
- Generate weekly and monthly Warehouse Audit and Inventory Accuracy reports
- Assess future risk, opportunities, and effectiveness; translate results into meaningful solutions to enhance decision-making; present findings to various levels of leadership
- Create, monitor, and maintain metrics and key performance indicators, identifying aged Inventory
- Review data capture processes and procedures; recommend modifications to systems to ensure all relevant metrics data elements are collected as a part of the defined standard operational procedures
- Audit and confirm the validity and accuracy of all data being reported.
- Provide cost/benefit analysis for various projects, as needed
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Additional Primary Responsibilities:
- Strong communication skills – written, verbal, persuasion, motivation, facilitation of strong working relationships
- Knowledge of other MS Office Suite and/or software applications related to job functions
- Excellent interpersonal, customer service, analytical/problem solving, problem management, presentation development, presentation, and communications skills
- Analytical and judgment skills are necessary to evaluate, interpret, and reconcile accounting data and operational metrics according to the company and departmental procedures.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree and three years of experience or equivalent education and related experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, strong Excel skills – Pivot Tables, XLookups
- Strong organization, multi-tasking, and time management skills
Physical Demands:
- Physical demands include a considerable amount of time sitting and typing/keyboarding, using a computer (e.g., keyboard, mouse, and monitor) or an adding machine
- Physical demands with activity or condition may occasionally include walking, bending, reaching, standing, and stooping.
- May require occasional lifting/lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 20lbs
