What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dish/Prep position at Southern Grounds?
Responsibilities for dishwasher
- Clean all kitchen items including machine, walls and floors
- Responsible for emptying trash receptacles, cleaning floors, walls and
- Gathers items from the bussing stations and kitchen for disposal or washing
- Scrapes food from dirty dishes and places them in racks
- Washes worktables, walls, and work areas
- Picks up, segregates and bags trash and garbage and removes all trash and rubbish to designated areas
- Responsible to set up dishwashing and pot sink area for service
- Responsible to maintain weekly cleaning schedule
- Responsible to dispose of trash, boxes, cans and bottles in their proper receptacles
- Responsible to sweep and mop kitchen floor, walk-in refrigerators and tile area in dining room
Qualifications
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time, lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to work under the direction of the Chefs
- Hand coordination and dexterity for rapid production
- Demonstrated ability to work at a fast pace while standing for long periods of time
- Ability to stand and walk for entire length of shift
