Incorporated in 1992, Southern Hens is a fully integrated poultry processing company engaged in the processing and distribution of fresh, frozen and canned RTE poultry products. Southern Hens operates three plants at its’ headquarters in Moselle, MS and employees 800 team members. Primary Duties:
Oversee General Shipping Activities
- Ensures every shipment arrives on time and within budget.
- Monitors and oversees outgoing and incoming shipping activities to verify items are shipping to the correct location and in good condition.
- Ensures that weights are correctly posted, correct charges are applied, and shipments are moved from shipping points to storage areas, and also resolve issues with shipping orders.
Inspect Loading Operations
- Responsible for inspecting every aspect of the loading operations to make sure they follow warehouse and shipping specifications and to ensure proper use of warehouse space.
Manage Shipping Orders and Invoices
- Verifies all shipping notices, orders, invoices, and other documents to manage priorities and ensure that the correct shipping methods are used.
Inventory Reconciliation
- Responsible for daily and scheduled inventory reconciliation to ensure adequate supplies to meet the company's production goals.
- Reports to management on damaged goods and any discrepancies with inventory.
Supervise Shipping Staff
- Oversees and supervises warehouse employees and drivers to make sure all items are prepared, shipped, and received on time while complying with company policy.
- Acts as a liaison between workers and management and report on shipping activities and issues.
- Maintains warehouse safety and cleanliness.
- Trains new workers and monitors performance, correcting and guiding, as needed.
Educational Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
Essential Functions:
- Ability to speak, hear, see, walk, bend, stoop, reach, lift, grasp/grip, and stand.
- Ability to lift and carry (5) five – 20 pounds.
- Ability to work in cold to hot temperatures.
- Manual dexterity.
- Hand to eye co-ordination.
- Ability to work safely.
Qualifications:

- Capable of working with others with minimum supervision
