What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Associate position at Southern Hobby Distribution?
Southern Hobby is seeking a Warehouse Associate, with responsibilities ranging from picking/packing/shipping orders, stocking inventory, cycle counting, loading/unloading freight and other tasks as directed by the Warehouse Manager. We’re looking for someone who with great attention to detail and can work at a solid, consistent pace with accuracy. For initial training the hours will be Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm, after training this will be a full-time role, Monday to Thursday, 2pm to 12:30am.

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Picking: Use RF gun to pick items for order with accuracy.
- Packing: Pack and prepare items for shipping
- Shipping: Review, measure, weigh, and select the correct shipping rate and service required for each order.
- Assist with quarterly and yearly inventory as needed.
- Regular and reliable attendance.
- Other duties as communicated by the leadership team.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Prefer at least 6 months to 1 year of history working in a warehouse environment (willing to train the right person)
- Familiar with RF scanner equipment
- Good organizational skills, strong work ethic, and committed to performing at your best.
- Ability to comprehend and adhere to all warehouse safety best practices.
- Comfortable with lifting to 50lbs, depending on the task.
